Audio Crush: My Brightest Diamond
I discovered My Brightest Diamond on Stereogum back in September and immediately fell in love. She's like a big Tori Amos, Bjork, Kate Bush and PJ Harvey sandwich, so what's not to love? I just recently bought the debut album Bring Me the Workhorse and my appreciation has grown considerably. Frontwoman Shana Worden is a classically trained vocalist (at the University of North Texas no less) and she shows her chops throughout this album ranging from rocker to torchsinger to opera diva in the course of eleven tracks.Best tracks: Golden Star, Gone Away, Disappear, Workhorse.
